I like using Turbo Tax in the comfort of my own home. I can take my time and if I forget something I can easily go back to a specific section with ease. PLUS it is MUCH cheaper than using an accountant. It is VERY user friendly.
What's great about it: That I can add items and adjust accordingly with ease
What's not so great: So far, have not found any

Quick & [Relatively] Painless

My experience for filing 2014 taxes was easy as cake. I finished in under 30 minutes - as a result I am becoming much less apprehensive about starting my taxes. As an added bonus, I did not experience any errors with the software this year when printing to PDF, which was a common problem for me in previous years. Altogether a positive experience.
What's great about it: Gettin' taxes done on the couch, listening to some tunes and enjoying a nice refreshing beverage. Ahhhhh
What's not so great: Not always certain what version of TurboTax to buy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used TT for over a decade. Copy of 2013 return was on my laptop & I ID'd the file. TT would not download the info. This is not the first time I've had this snafu. Good thing this isn't the reason I purchase TT for doing my taxes or I'd be buying someone else's software.
What's great about it: Great Program for preparing taxes
What's not so great: Never seems to be able to download previous year's tax information

Easier than doing taxes by hand

The only problem I had was my college expenses. The school included expenses for both 2014 and 2015 in the same 1098-T. It took me a little of time to discover that the 2015 numbers would be taken out later. Otherwise it went smoothly.
What's great about it: Fill in the blanks-program does the math
What's not so great: Sometimes not knowing that an adjustment would be made later

Awesome, easy tax prep

I've used TT for home-based business in the past but after closing out my business, this was the first year I used Premier. Once again, Turbo Tax comes through. Fifteen minutes after I clicked the download button, I had software and updates installed, last year's return had been transferred in, and I was entering W-2 information. The software guided me through each step of the way, the questions were direct and easy to answer, and support was readily available. I had a question about one of my entries and how the software responded to it, so I called the hotline number. Instead of making me hang in the queue, I was given the option to provide a phone number where Customer Support could reach me and was told my wait would be less than 60 minutes. I continued to work on my return while I waited for them to call back, and twenty minutes later the CSR called, I got the response I needed, and my return was done! The process was so easy, I joined TT so I will receive the software for 2015 taxes as soon as it is made available.
What's great about it: Ease of use, multiple means of support
What's not so great: I actually had to key the figures in all by myself. Seriously, I don't have any cons

Good Service...but

Every few years I seem to have an issue with Turbo Tax and my previous year's return. I'm sure it is usually my fault. But, I don't understand why they don't tell you anywhere to save not just the PDF but the .tax201x file as well. To do so, you have to click on the file menu while you are in the software. Otherwise, you will be entering all your information anew the next year (the PDF transfer didn't work for me),
What's great about it: Easy to use, seems to ask all the right questions
What's not so great: Carry over from year-to-year is sketchy if you don't use the online system. Be sure to not just save the PDF file.
