You really screwed up this time

I bought the deluxe version again this year. I then get notified that I must have the premier version to deal with schedule D. You then say that is a mistake and I can do schedule D. When I go to update things on schedule D for my final tax filing and you say I have to buy premier again. I have bought my last turbo tax product. Next year I will pay a CPA to do the job or purchase one of your competitors. You lost my business.

Great experience as always!

I got great help when I had to call in. The wait time was long but that was my fault for waiting too late to get my taxes done.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use.
What's not so great: State e-filing should also be free.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Frustrating help screens

In the past I had to file only returns that were straightforward-- W2 statements, no foreign income, etc. This year I had to complete a return that involved all income being earned overseas. The help screens were agonizing, especially when it came to figuring out what "details" to include on form 1116, line 10 to justify the calculation. After extensive searching online, I found that another user indicated that saying that TurboTax calculated the amount would suffice. Why in the blazes must a user search the online forum to see what worked for another user? For reasons like this I will probably pay someone next year to prepare my taxes.
What's great about it: For simple situations, it is fine
What's not so great: Poor help screens; Relying on "community" for help is frustrating

Taxes Completed

The software is simple to use. My taxes are pretty straight forward so I don't have any real issues completing the forms.
Since I pay automatically for the software, I just have to download it when I begin my return. I wish getting the download for the software was easier to find. I always choose something that wants me to pay again for the product. It takes a while before I find where the right download is.
What's great about it: E-filing is easy. If you've used Turbo Tax in prior years, some of your information is saved.
What's not so great: Although e-filing my federal form was free, I had to pay to e-file my state form.
