Woohoo - beat the deadline!

The last few years, I have put off filing our taxes until the last minute. Thank you, TurboTax for making the process simple and quick. I just have to remind myself next year to get started earlier!!

Great Tool

I have used TurboTax for the last three seasons, and have found it to be easy to use. It has provided results at least as good as I have gotten from a professional preparer in the past, and it takes a lot less time.
What's great about it: Easy to Use, as accurate as preparer I used for years, lot less headache.
What's not so great: None.

Just a suggestion

I have used Turbo Tax for so many years I can't even remember how many. Each year the program gets easier to follow which I really appreciate. This year it seemed like after you completed the sub-section of a major section, e.g., Deductions/Union Dues, the program took you to the top of the page for Deductions rather than to the next sub-section you need to complete. It just seemed like it was a lot more of going back to the top of a section and then remembering which was the next sub-section you had to complete. Perhaps there was a valid reason for this, but I don't know what it would be. Also, in previous versions, as you worked through the program there were many prompts reminding you to "save" and that was missing in the 2014 program.
What's great about it: I like how it guides you step-by-step
What's not so great: After you finish a section, I wish it would take you to the "master page", e.g., Income, next section instead of top

Occasionally confused

The header at that precedes the return should clearly list the forms that make up a complete return and those that are optional. That would be helpful. Also it always surprises me how something so simple as the education funding should be so complicated to comprehend using this software.
In general, I like the tool and appreciate how quickly I can get through most of my taxes. the only issues i routinely have are those listed in the cons section.
What's great about it: overall a pretty good tool
What's not so great: some forms are completely confusing. In particular, the education section and the out of state tax credit

Ahhhhhhhh !

I really enjoy looking at the help documentation that helps me to have the required paper work to prep for the next year. In all the many many years I have filed taxes, I worried when we bought our home I would miss the energy credits. I did the first year manually and felt like I would never finish. After that I have used TurboTax and always feel the sense of security gained by THEM knowing all the rules and the relief punching the e-File button. That security has been worth every penny every year.

What's great about it: Punch in a few numbers, pull in last years info, yes or no questions ... what's not to like?!!!
What's not so great: I still have to file taxes - but it's Soooooo easy !

Love Turbo Tax!!!! Use is every year! By far the best!!!!
What's great about it: Ease of use/simple instructions/easy to jump from section to section and add info.
