Long time user of Turbotax

It guides you through the process as if you were in front of a tax preparer. Great product. I have been using it every year since it first came out, back in the DOS days I think it was probably over 25 years ago. Never had a problem, ever.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: none that I can think of

I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years and I am always reminded each year of why I continue to use it. It is practically "idiot proof". You are walked thru every step - even things that you would not think of. Why would anyone want to go thru all the steps by doing their own form when Turbo Tax is so quick and easy?
What's great about it: quick & easy
What's not so great: don't know of any

State Efiling
on April 13, 2015

I do like the easy of Turbo Tax, however I do not like the fact after paying for the program, I am charged an addtional fee to E-File my State return. I only need to file 1040A due to house interest and property taxes, and may find myself back to the old tax booklet and save the cost of the deluxe program and efiling fees. I would be saving an additional $80.00, it just really irritates me that they go that one extra step at digging into my wallet.
What's great about it: It is rather customer friendly and a easy to navigate
What's not so great: They make you pay an additional fee for State E-Filing service

I found the process confusing especially how to handle social security benefits and where to enter them. The FAQs did not answer y questions. Some questions were also confusing because there was no does not apply option.

In a Flash
on April 13, 2015

It was a flash filing tax. I am a 2nd-year TurboTax user. Two years in a row successfully and easily filing out taxes. I especially liked "Explain more" or "what's this?" links that are next to words, form numbers, or otherwise weird, complicated jargons that helped clarify any and all questions i had. My only issue is that i was not able to find where to "Enter all my Receipts" for itemized sales tax deductions.
What's great about it: Through, Affordable, EASY
What's not so great: Itemized Deductions? Where was it?
Pros: I moved
