Resting assurred...

The tax code is way too complex, but that is a discussion for another venue. What that complexity means to me is that I always feel nervous that I am going to miss something important when filling out my return. The TurboTax software goes a long way towards giving me peace of mind by guiding me step by step with simple instructions but allowing me to access as much detail as I want.
What's great about it: clear language and adequate explanations, with additional details available if desired.

Didn't like this year's Turbo Tax as well as years' past. Items were not asked with clarity and I felt that I had many questions that were not answered.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

First Time I've had problems

I had uninstalled the previous years of the TurboTax software to free up computer space (which I have done before; TurboTax user since ~2001) but unlike previous years, my actual tax records uninstalled with the program! I lost my records from 2012 and 2013, which meant that this year there was NOTHING to import from the previous year(s). This was a MAJOR PAIN as I had to dig out everything. This year-to-year ease is the primary driver of why I keep using TurboTax. I can see NO situation where my choice to uninstall a program should remove my personal records, even if that record still is in a TurboTax folder!!
What's great about it: Ease of year-to-year
What's not so great: lost years when software is uninstalled

Efficient as Always

As with years before turbotax moved me efficiently through the process, highlighting a few areas where I needed to reach out to entities to get more data for the IRS. Thanks TT.

Great product that I've been using for almost 10 years and have recommended to my adult children. Very straightforward with each category presented in a clear, and logical manner.

TurboTax the Wonder

I have only GOOD things to say about the TurboTax software.
As noted above, I ONCE did have an HSA that I had to cancel (ineligible due to registering with Medicad (Part A only) while still employed and employer-plan covered) was difficult to enter. I had to withdraw all funds and estimate my taxes due (paid on entire balance as an "over-funded" HSA amount w/o penalty). The software did not recognize the situation, but I was still able to enter amounts that the IRS accepted - that was confirmed by phone with an IRS agent.
What's great about it: Pretty much everything - ease, simplicity, accuracy, helpfulness, data transfer, status with state & federal agencies
What's not so great: I have only had one difficulty in many years of use - a cancelled HSA (ineligible) was difficult to enter
