Home office deduction

I used the automatic calculation of a Home office deduction in 2013 but somehow it didn't come up when I was preparing my 2014 return. It did show up when I got to the 2013 vs. 2014 comparison and it showed $0.00 for 2014 vs. $600.00 for 2013. It took me a while to find the calculation form and get it right. I don't know if it was me, or a glitch, that it didn't prompt for the questions the first time through. But I did eventually get it included.

I've been using this product for 12 years and it gets better every year.
What's great about it: Complete walkthrough easy to understand
What's not so great: Some of the more obscure topics a bit hard to get through.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax allows me to do the taxes in bite size chucks. This reduces prolonged stress having to force fit it in a timetable that is too short to do a good job. It allows me to do research on items I may not have been totally prepared for; and it prompts me to think about thinks I may have over looked.
Since I cannot see the calculations I do have to trust that they are correct. But I do have the comfort of knowing calculations they are doing are probably more accurate than those I may be doing when I'm exhausted.
The cost of the Federal Tax Return, e-mailing the form and paying for the defense feature isn't inexpensive, but it is reasonable.
What's great about it: It covers all the bases so I don't have to feel I left things out
What's not so great: Some of the explanations use terms my wide and I are unfamiliar with.

Easy Tax Prep

Simple answers to questions for each step in preparing returns
All worksheets are calculated by the program. Math mistakes can't happen( unless you put in a wrong number)

turbo tax kept crashing with BSOD. not sure I will use turbotax next year. I've been using turbo tax for about 5 years with no problems.
