Turbo Tax gets easier to use every year with the improvements. It took me no time at all to finish up my taxes this year. I don't even dread it anymore. I like the enhancements and the advice and additional information that clarifies each line/section.
What's great about it: Very user-friendly and Fast!!!
What's not so great: Not a thing

If you've used Turbo Tax in any previous year, you'll be happy to note it has the same friendly interface. Even the questions it asked seemed like old friends. I have used Turbo Tax for 8 or 10 years now and have always been extremely satisfied each time. You can't beat electronic filing as this is the time of year to avoid your post office if possible. In summary, I am again very happy with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Interface was same as previous years.
What's not so great: Takes forever to load on my s l o w computer.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very Satisfied - One caveat

With all my documents in place, able to traverse the software quite easily. I've used Turbotax for many years now and have found it to be a very reliable software. I understand there were some problems for early submitters using the deluxe version; but, that must have been corrected when I started - emails from Turbotax for previous users indicated the forms would be available, as usual, next year. I guess the updates handled any forms issues. My only "druther" regards the "state filing." My state has no income tax and yet the program keeps asking my to complete a state filing when it apparently already knows my state has no income tax. Not sure why it persisted. Otherwise, I will buy Turbotax again next year.
What's great about it: well organized and easy to follow
What's not so great: Unnecessary step RE state filing
Pros: I moved

I.ve listed the same improvement year after year. If you're not going to address the issue then why ask for a review
What's great about it: Step by Step Instructions, Categorized for easy review, Done in the privacy of my home
What's not so great: Efiling should be free for both Federal AND State

TurboTax good BUT...

I've used TurboTax for years (decades?!) and generally find it useful. But I have some less common tax challenges that TurboTax doesn't handle well: 1) I am fully employed but have a non-vision disability and need equipment to enable my working. 2) I have a dependent adult child with disability. 3) I have inherited financial assets
Through NO help from TurboTax, I have figured out how to take depreciation on my medical equipment that enables me to remain employed. This was very convoluted to enter in TurboTax. IMHO there should be a sub-interview for situations that deal with persons with disabilities whether or not they are covered by Medicaid or SSI/SSDI, disability in either the taxpayer or a dependent.
Finally this year, TurboTax got my disabled dependent's status correct (hooray!) only because it carried forward my status from last year's return. In years past it refused to allow me to continue to claim my dependent due to their age -- I had to find work-arounds.
I messed-up on taking a required minimum distribution (inherited IRA) this past year, and although TurboTax gave me options and advice on how to explain to the tax authorities why I was late, it didn't explain to me what I needed to do on my federal or state taxes (i.e., how to handle the dividends & late distribution). Nor did any of their "help" options have an answer. I still don't know if I was supposed to list the distribution in my current return (2014 tax year) or next year's (2015) return, when the distribution was actually taken. And as I didn't actually have a 1099-DIV to enter, I wouldn't have found the forms I needed to explain to the feds my error & hope for penalty forgiveness were it not for my *guessing* I should enter null info for the would-be form. I'm praying I got it right; TurboTax didn't guide me on this; I think it should have.
Finally, I love that TurboTax glides me through the forms with an interview, BUT, if I need to return to a section to add more or change any information, it is at best clunky and confusing, often never getting me back to the exact page I need (this is especially true when I need to get back to a subform or specialty calculation worksheet). I don't understand why when I navigate back to a topic, it doesn't show me ALL the same pages I saw during my first pass. Likewise, when it conducts it's final check and finds errors, it sometimes takes me to a page I've not seen before, and without context, insists that I change an entry. How can I change an entry without knowing exactly what I previously entered and where I entered the error. I wish it would take me back to the *interview page* with the error, NOT the worksheet that I've not seen before and don't recognize!
What's great about it: walks me through almost everything
What's not so great: doesn't address disability issues adequately & can't easily return to specific details, especially on secondary forms
