Quick and Straigntforward

Overall this is an excellent tool. When using the guided instructions, you don't even have to think. It's also super easy to make edits and changes. The deliberate questions just before selecting the filing button gives you greater confidence. It's a great tool and a timesaver.
What's great about it: The guided instructions were super. I did not have to think. Especially like the calculations for charitable miles
What's not so great: I would like to see a complete list of all of my charitable donations. The list is truncated.

Glitches and roadblocks

Some of my income, reported on a 1099-R, is from book royalties. Turbotax Deluxe said that it does not have the form required to report royalties, and that I must upgrade (free) to Premier. But upgrading required a "confirmation number" from a letter I never received. So I could not upgrade - catch 22.
What's great about it: Program guides you through the process
What's not so great: Could not manage one source of my income

Changes in Turbo tax Product

We have minimal investments outside our retirement, so on occasion we sell off some of our investments. Typically we try to combine those that have made money and those that have lost money. This year we didn't need to file Schedule D, so buying the nonbusiness one worked this year. I am glad Turbo tax is going back to the old set up as for us it had the forms we needed based on what we did that year.
What's great about it: The change didn't affect us this year
What's not so great: May affect us in folowing years

Ii was able to feel confident that the filing was correctr and secure. I found a mistake I made and was able to correct easily. The explainations were clear and I will use Turbo Tax again next year. Thank you for an excellent product.

This is great dependable software. i have been using it for years. I tried H&R Block this year and they messed up so bad that I just started over with TurboTax. Relief, easy and accurate as always.
