changes NOT improvement!

I'm a former Enrolled Agent, and have used TurboTax for many years, but am unhappy with recent changes, especially on contributions. When I've kept a list during the year of my contributions, I want to just plug in the total on Sch. A, not have to enter date, name and amount on a separate worksheet for each organization. It's bad enough that each 1099 must be entered on a separate form, instead of directly onto Sch B.
What's not so great: contributions too much work!

This program leads you through the IRS maze and allows you to return anywhere in the maze to make crrections
What's great about it: easy to correct mistakes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is my fifth year with Turbo Tax and I'll continue to use them for both Federal and State returns. Best way to do your taxes!
What's great about it: All forms, all deductions and credits, and a file copy of what th eGovernments get.
What's not so great: None I can think of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Getting payment made
on April 13, 2015

Everything went as smooth as can be until I got to the end and needed to make my payment. I'm not sure what an Intuit account is but it kept taking me into the field to set up an account. I wanted to pay, not set up an account. Maybe next year we could bring up the payment screen and then go to setting up an account if one is interested. I felt that I was being trapped into doing something I didn't want to do.
What's great about it: The information for the direct deposit was automatically entered.
What's not so great: Getting to the payment was a royal pain.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

An absolute nightmare that sent me on a loop that would not allow me to e-file. I returned me to state tax page and I repeatedly said federal tax only.

Best out there but....

High priced and often confusing. TurboTax seems to be trying to figure out how to force more and more of us to use higher priced programs. I've used it for more than 20 years but not sure I will continue.
What's great about it: Reliable
What's not so great: High priced. Often confusing.

TurboTax gives me confidence to do it right.

I figured my taxes both ways and saved several hundred dollars filing separately for both of us. This allows me to take advantage of a lower medical expenses exclusion based on only my AGI rather than the combined AGI. The secret is for me to pay all the medical bills for both of us.
What's great about it: Questions, calculations, proper form fillouts
What's not so great: No way to easily figure taxes filing married jointly then separately
