I have used TT for years, 20+, and I've never had the trouble with the program that I've had this year. First of all when I downloaded the .exe file, I had to execute three time before it finally installed. EVERY single time I tried to run the program it froze the first time and I had to reboot my computer to get it to restart. VERY FRUSTRATING.
When I finally got it to run, TT did my taxes to my expectation, but I really almost decided to try another program because I thought TT would never let me finish.

What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Hard to load on my computer, froze every single time I used it.

Overall A++ program that exudes confidence in my return. The ItsDeductible program needs a quick select button for "custom items" that it does not contain in its database. Currently you have to search for an item that it cannot recognize (I simply used "xx") before it will allow you to provide a separate entry. When you have a lot of uncommon donated items, providing a quicker way to enter them would be most helpful.
What's great about it: Gives me a "No worries mate" feeling
What's not so great: ItsDeductible shortfall for unique items

I walked through my filing and this was the first year we were able to file a joint federal return but initially it showed that we owed $2700! That was ridiculous! There was no way it should have done that. I stepped through every point of filing again. No change!! I did it a third time from the very beginning - including the profile. I had chosen - same s-x marriage despite feeling like it was unfair that I had to chose a different category as my state wasn't an issue. Well I changed to Married and the refund popped up. If there's no difference why would it have shown a difference for the Federal? Also, I did change it back and the refund followed!! What if I hadn't been so diligent and retried so many times? It was a signficant amount of money.
As you can imagine, my confidence in your software is very low and probably will not buy the software again.
What's great about it: walk thru is always helpful
What's not so great: I owe to refund with one seemingly minor change!?

I like Turbo Tax. Had problems only one year with it. Have used it for years. Good and easy to use even for the Technically challanged. But next year will be the test.
What's great about it: walked me thru and didn't worry that I missed anything
What's not so great: kept wanting me to file a florida return at the end

No refund required

I can count on TurboTax to allow me to prepare my own taxes. The last thing I need is an expensive tax preparation bill when I know I am going to get clobbered by the IRS to begin with!
What's great about it: Turbotax is consistently efficient!
What's not so great: No refund--but that is just the way it is!
