I always struggle each year with the High deductible health savings account. It seems like you add the money in, it is added to your earned income and then later it comes back out. Never really makes sense. I just follow the directions to the detail and am completely honest, but I don't really understand it.
What's great about it: Ease of use, even someone with little computer experience can use it. Also appreciated the explanations if I needed

10 Years and Counting!

I've been using TurboTax for at least 10 years now. I love it. Wouldn't use any other tax preparation software. In fact, now that all four of our children are grown and starting families of their own, they each have chosen to use it as well. We all appreciate the simple straight forward "walk-through" process that addresses each possibility with easy to understand directions and explanations. The only bad part... is when you have a year that you find out you'll be sending in a payment instead of receiving a refund!
What's great about it: Simple and understandable explanations at every step!
What's not so great: What's not to like? Okay, maybe the pop-up options to purchase other products and services.

i have been using TurboTax for 3 years now and my experience has been great every time.
the step-by-step are very easy to follow and explanations are available and come in very handy.

not quite there

It should have been made clear that you were going to charge customers for a product they were used to getting with the Deluxe package. this was not appreciated and I am not sure I trust Turbo tax. In the future I will consider using HR Block software because they appear to offer a better product that is as advertised and expected.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to run through the return
What's not so great: It seems to me that Turbo Tax tried to upsale their product at customers expense
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: The feel and layout is constant so one can do taxes without a lot of backtracking
What's not so great: Generated false withholding from previous return and forced multiple trials. Could not short cut trials.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
