Filing Taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years now, and I find it relatively easy to use. Tax payers should be allowed to file a minimum of two state returns free.
What's great about it: Tax filing assistant was very useful in navigating the process. Questions prompted pertinent responses
What's not so great: Switching between tax returns can be somewhat confusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It took longer than I expected.

I called TT helpdesk and Susanne was very helpful !!!
What's great about it: overall the experience was easy
What's not so great: I missed types my birthday year, but TT could not tell what the error was. I had to start from beginning to resolve.

Use it every year!

Turbo Tax is a life saver! I have used this tax program for many years. It is easy to follow. It will import last year's tax form and prompts me with what items I used last year. I just tell it that I want to chose may own items and it shows me a list with the previous year's items that need updating. This just streamlines my entries and cuts the time it takes to do my taxes. It took me less than one hour to do my itemized taxes!
What's great about it: Easy to follow.

2014 Turbo Tax

When e-filing section of the return it asked to check for updates before submitting. However, when we checked for updates, there weren't any. We could not e-file because it continued to say check for updates. We had to get completely out of the program and go to the Turbo Tax website to ask how to manually update. After doing this, we were able to e-file.
What's great about it: Was able to complete filing in a quick manner.
What's not so great: The program asked for an update duirng e-filing. It would not update when prompted to.

I like using Turbo Tax because I depend upon its accuracy and, well, dependability. I've never had a problem (knock on wood) filing with Turbo Tax
What's great about it: stepping me thru all the entries
What's not so great: a (very) few options were ambiguous

Easy Step by Step Process

Very easy this time. I created my own worksheets to calculate our medical and pay stub deductions. It would be nice to incorporate something like this into Turbo Tax paid-versions. Quicken is good for overall finances, but does not take into account employee group deductions, etc. I've used Turbo Tax for over a decade and trust it more than all the others. Thanks again.
What's great about it: Easier to understand, layman's terms, thanks!
What's not so great: Some irrelevant responses in help menu. Still have to scroll to the bottom to get to next-step.
