A BIT MORE CONFUSING THIS YEAR

Had a few very frustrating moments getting program to move from on spot to the next. Still having difficulty e filing.
What's great about it: Did it on own
What's not so great: I had alot of trouble with getting taxes to e file

What's great about it: Turbo Makes it pretty easy to do a non-complex return

Boo Hoo Paying

I will continue to use Turbo Tax - I do have my back up who is my CPA sister who takes a final look at everything to make sure it is correct and that I have dotted all my iii and crossed by ttts. She also make recommendations for closing the gap a little (i.e. increase withholding etc)
What's great about it: Downloaded info from last year
What's not so great: Help was difficult to navigate

I have used Turbo Tax for years and appreciate the detailed questions and ease of use, however Identity theft has caused mine to be rejected and there is no way to get my fee back that Turbo Tax charged me for filing electronically. I have heard of scams that people call from Turbo tax wanting to give you a refund but then steal your identity hoping Turbo Tax just sends me a check. Wont hold my breath. Its not like they don't know who's taxes were rejected. somehow my tax information has been stolen and so I will be going manual next year, not happy but its safer then this technology
What's great about it: very easy directions to follow, very detailed have used it for years
What's not so great: this year my return was rejected due to identify theft and there is no recourse to getting back my fee

I highly recommend TurboTax. I have used it since it's first version and would not use anything else to help prepare taxes.
What's great about it: sequential and detailed
What's not so great: some confusing phrasing from year to year

Good overall, but UI requires way too many clicks

Overall, TurboTax is great. But on the Income and Deductions sections, the UI is way too burdensome and inefficient. After each subsection, it takes you back to the summary list, which gets longer and longer, so after the first couple of subsections, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the summary list to get to the Next Section button on the bottom. Why on earth would you do that? Why not just take the user through each section, with a Skip button and a Summary View button for the rare case you want to see that? Would have cut my prep time by a substantial percentage!
What's great about it: Straightforward to get the taxes done
What's not so great: Way, way too many unnecessary clicks

Bug

I filed a 1099-Misc because my wife was working part time, but this year she is not working there any more but Turbo Tax keeps making me file Schedule C. I cannot delete it and Turbo Tax keeps forcing me to fill out schedule C.
