Saved me time

If you have all your pertinent information together before you start your process with TurboTax, all will go smoothly. Getting the information together is probably the lengthiest process of it all. TurboTax makes it so easy to waltz through it. I was done with my taxes through TurboTax in a couple of hours and the end result was great. We're retired so the money we save by using TurboTax is important to our budget and I feel confident that it is accurate; it does the math for me.

State Download was not free

The app made me pay for my state taxes even though it was suppose to be free. It would not continue unless I paid. Very frustrating.

ALWAYS USED TURBO TAX

I WAS USING MY ACCOUNTING BROTHER FOR YEARS FOUND OUT HE HAD HIS HELP USING TURBO TAX TO DO THEM, AND NEVER DID THEM RIGHT, SO MUCH FOR HIRED HELP, TURBO TAX RULES,

2014 Federal Tax

When editing a category TT opens a new page for the edits but when edit is complete TT returns to top of previous page. I would like to return to the exact section of previous page to the segment I was editing.
After completing certain segments I will open the segment again to review my entries or for edits. However, frequently certain questions that I have selected previously are now presented "unselected". I believe that my original selection is still being used but it makes me uncomfortable when these bullet options show up as "unselected"
Schedule A itemized deductions: I will frequently enter estimated $ to see if I should be using schedule A or standard deductions. Typically TT directs me towards the standard deductions for federal and I do not work additionally on schedule A $. Then later on for example in state tax I find TT using $ from schedule A.
Overall TT is an excellent tool!
What's great about it: step by step process and accuracy of TT

This is 6th year of use and it continues to make the stress of filing taxes bearable. We compared our Turbo Tax to another tax service and found we came out ahead using Turbo Tax. "We got our money back America" using turbo tax.
What's great about it: This product continues to be easier to use every year, with more guidance and suggestions throughout.
What's not so great: Maybe a littler better detail when errors are found, but still easy to fix.

Live in one state and work in another

It was very confusing. I couldn't figure out if I was being double taxed and if I had to remove one state income because it was showing up in both NY and NJ.
This is a huge flaw!! There were NO clear answers.
I'm sorry but I cannot recommend Turbo Tax. It almost cost me thousands of dollars in taxes I shouldn't have to pay.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I've used Turbo Tax for as long as I have done my taxes on computer and I have never been disappointed.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
