Easy w/Turbo Tax

Have used Turbo Tax for many years to prepare & e-file our taxes and sure this will NOT be the last. Always happy with the ease of using Turbo Tax and less expensive to do yourself.
What's great about it: Covers all your bases and eay enough for everyone
What's not so great: few area not clear on direction

Excellent program. It provides sufficient guidance allowing anyone with basic PC/Mac skills to thoroughly file their own taxes. If help is needed, their professionals are there to help with more advanced tax related questions.
What's great about it: thorough
What's not so great: sometimes the forms (schedules) require updating -- updates that require manual effort.

It was more difficult this time

You asked for total sales state tax and local tax.......Arizona towns have different ones within a mile of each other....never asked that before, it is not a question that would be known.
Plus more than 1/2 of it was more complicated. We want the old Turbo tax back that we had done for years.
It took me six hours to work on this and I had all my forms ready....but your questions =1/2 are not geared for the common person. Will have to re-think using this next year.

As we grow older, we don't always keep up with the benefits that come with age other than "we get older" not necessarily wiser or smarter - sometimes, just older and it doesn't hurt to have someone cover our backs.
What's great about it: Covers my mistaken process
What's not so great: Some redundancy, but again it covers my mistakes.

Got a refund after 4 years

First time user and the program made it effortless to federal file.
What's great about it: very easy to use extremly user friendly
What's not so great: none at this time
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Disappointed

I am disappointed that the State Returns were not included in this TurboTax package. Ended up paying twice for the 2 states I needed than I paid for the Federal File. Will probably look elsewhere next year unless this changes...........
