Good for basics

Very good for basic return with itemized deductions.
If you have anything unusual it can be hard to navigate back to the main path.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Anything unusual can throw you off the trail

So easy!

Was a little nervous as I've had my taxes done by a pro since 2000, but she retired - so I asked around and everyone seemed to use this. Could not have been easier. Loved the video help as well.

IRS rules and regulations are not easily understood. In addition, tax consultants require appointments and provide little time to review or correct. Turbo Tax is the answer to both problems and make it as easy as possible. All topics are available for completion and review as needed. Instead of having to complete the return within a consultant's timeline of 30 minutes, the tax forms can be completed within MY timeline and over a period of days or weeks if needed. The only thing that would make it better is if Turbo Tax would pay my "TAXES DUE".
What's great about it: Able to complete as time permits. Can make adjustments as needed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still my choice for tax software...

At first, due to the change in TT editions, I thought I might switch to another tax software. After 2 attempts to get their customer service because of a problem with installing the software. I returned their software and promptly ordered TT. Again, I had problems installing TT due to AV software, but I was able to find that that was the problem promptly (unlike the other software via their customer service).
I strongly feel TurboTax stands behind their product and supports it properly. I also like the ease in entering my info and double checking any entry easily.
I have been a TT customer for at least a decade and am glad I am.

What's great about it: Easy walk throughs and navigation
What's not so great: Problem with installing due to Anti-Virus type software
