Difficulity with filing Federal and State e-file

I am married and we file a joint Federal return but individual state returns. New updates to the software prohibited me from filing my state return electronically because I didn't file my federal taxes individually even though my spouse submitted our joint Federal return and their state return through TurboTax e-file. There should be a way for the program to recognize that I was a part of the joint Federal return with my spouse so that I can meet my state's requirement to electronically file my state return.
What's great about it: Document prep was easy
What's not so great: Turbotax software prevented me from following my state's e-fileing requirement

Always accurate and easy!

TurboTax has always made filing my returns easy and hassle free. I don't mind paying a little money to make sure my returns are done right the first time. Thank you TurboTax (Intuit) for your help with such a great product!
What's great about it: Step-by-step, walk you through it all, easy to use, always accurate

Found MY errors

The automated reviews are outstanding. I missed some key entry points on forms (FMV = $0, what was I thinking!).
Advantage program has kept me using Intuit products for almost 10 years.
What's great about it: Reviews and checks
What's not so great: community comments weren't very helpful or completely accurate
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had nothing complicated or new in my income/tax world from last year. I had use Turbo Tax last year so all I had to do was enter the figures. It kept all the info for w2's, mortgage, property taxes etc. My wife keeps questioning me if I did it right. I have never completed so fast. Even the e-file quick and easy.
What's great about it: Made it easy to complete with confidence
What's not so great: Taxes

What's not so great: The lack of ability to enter even a simple form for sale of stock unless I upgraded the program. Unacceptable.
