I have been using this program for a long time and it is an essential mechanism for me to do my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use and provided good assistance. Helped with modeling options.
What's not so great: Slow loading.

Organized so I can understand

I have used Turbo Tax for many years to do our taxes. Now that we have high speed internet and efile ability it's much less stressful and I hope accurate. We use the disk version instead of the download because it is easier for me to keep track of returns over the years and as I get new computers.
What's great about it: Step by step fill in and the recheck

I've used TurboTax for several years but still have occasional problems with limited success for answers.
What's great about it: Not having to sort through non-existent tax manuals
What's not so great: Seem to have been charged twice for PA tax & difficulty getting rid of not-requested Alabama forms

Turbo tax needs to step it up. The competition has come on strong. I have been a loyal turbo tax user >5 years, but after seeing some of the other software, next year is not a given.
What's great about it: relatively simple
What's not so great: You are still charged for your state return even if you can't efile.

Great Product

I didn't like the when I typed "...where do I deduct professional conference that I attended..." that I didn't get a hit.
What's great about it: Helped walked me through tax forms.
What's not so great: Didn't show me where to enter information about professional conference I attend
