The Education credit area is VERY confusing, trying to look back to see if we previously received a American Opportunity credit. The form 8863 is mind-boggling with "Part !" being referred to as "Refundable American Opportunity Credit"and "Part II" being referred to as "Nonrefundable Education Credits". I wasted more time trying to look back in my previous years TurboTax printouts and figuring out if my kids did or did not actually receive this credit. Maybe it is the actual IRS to blame for this. Not sure. I hope I interpreted all this correctly
What's great about it: I liked the step-by-step process
What's not so great: Some of the questions were vague or confusing and the HELP info did not help much.

Easiest way to file my returns

I have used Turbotax for several years for my own and my son's returns. I love it, it imports the prior year information and makes filing the returns extremely simple.
What's great about it: Easy to follow using the questions
What's not so great: just need a print button, not print preview
Pros: I bought or sold investments

After using TurboTax for years you have all my information ready to go and you remind me if there are any areas that I may have forgotten.. (Thank You for that) You have taken something that used to take days to hours (OK, you and the Internet)

shocked I had to pay to file State

filing state should also be free for persons who pay the price to purchase the software.
What's great about it: compared to other software to file taxes, i like this the best.
What's not so great: I think after buying the software....filing the state should be free!
