Easy enough

The nice thing about TurboTax is that if you use it every year, it carries all your information over so you don't have to type so much. Also, it automatically fills in all the forms, even for the state, once you put your info in, like your W2s, and it does all the math, and you can file your Fed return electronically for free.
It does walk you through all the questions, but you still have to know what your are doing. TurboTax makes filling out the forms and filing easy, but there probably is never going to be a program that demystifies the tax code.

Our biggest challenge was getting the 1099-R and RMD info in the correct areas. Seems there was overlapping screens. We survived.
What's great about it: Used the Step-by-Step Guidance
What's not so great: Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) was challenging

Great!

I have used TT for many years. It's easy to use and walks you through your taxes step by step. I see no reason to pay an accountant or tax preparation service to do an uncomplicated return.
What's great about it: TT is easy to use. Love the step by step approach!
What's not so great: I can't think of any.

Tops On Refund

I feel that everything is checked with the going back features which helps you to receive the most deductions that the law allows and you are always given the most updated verison

2014 Turbo Tax

I am very satisfied with the 2014 Turbo Tax software. I find the upgrades and changes made since last year vastly improved an already superior product.
I have never had a problem or issue with Turbo Tax and have used the software now 6 times in the last ten years. The only reason for the years I did not use them was because of changes that I felt at the time needed the expertise of a tax professional.
I highly recommend Turbo Tax and highly expect to use the product for those two certainties, death and taxes, meaning I plan on using the Turbo Tax until I die.
What's great about it: Software seemed a great deal more user friendly and easier to us than in previous years.
What's not so great: None really

I've used TurboTax for the last few years and have been pleased with it. This is the last year I will do so. In total, it ended up costing more to file than it would have had I gone to H&R Block and just let them do it. The add-ons for multiple states and to file has just pushed it beyond being a benefit or practical.
What's great about it: User-friendly, great explanations, convenient
What's not so great: Hidden/unexpected expenses

Had a hard time accessing the program, but a quick call to help resolved my issue and I was on my way. Quick and easy with the import feature

Beats the "Block" people

Easy to obtain and implement software. Very user friendly, fun and fast. A little preparation on my part took longer than going thriugh the process. An hour and 15 mins to e-file both Federal and State. I've used the software for the last 3 years and will see you next year!
