Easy Taxes

Turbotax is terrifically easy, especially if you use it year after year, with your data being shared between years. Worth sticking with. This year the installation and updating process was quicker than ever.
What's great about it: quick, easy taxes

Turbo Tax 2014

Normally I rate Turbo Tax a glowing 5 every year. This year there were some issues. I did my taxes in February like normal. Because I owed this year, I saved them and was waiting until April to file. When I went to file the software wanted to update...and I expected that. When I updated, my amount owned to the state jumped $500+ dollars. So I freaked out. I closed Turbo Tax and reopened it. Everything was gone. I had to redo the entire process. I still love the Turbo Tax tool, but this year wasn't quite as smooth as normal.
What's great about it: Super easy to use
What's not so great: First year ever with issues.

slow filing

Seems like you should know you will have a last minute rush and be prepared for it, and I don't consider 5 days out "last minute"
What's great about it: well, it's efficient
What's not so great: But 5 days ahead of the deadline, your servers nearly shut down and it took me an hour to simply pay for my state e-file

A Good Experience

More thorough deduction section than last year. Easy to use, but had trouble re-entering to edit amounts originally entered. Had to seek help to correct. Used telephone assistance and it was superior.
What's great about it: Thorough run through of deductions
What's not so great: A little difficult when trying to by-pass state return

Reasonably Fast and Easy

We must not have a complicated financial status because we were able to knock this out in half a day. Of course, we had been pulling the supporting paperwork together for weeks.
