Turbo Tax seems to get better with age! This year I had new home deductions, and the program walked me through all the steps perfectly!
What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: paying for state tax filing

Changing from married-filing-separately to married-filing-jointly was an incredible level of frustration w/TurboTax. This program does a poor job of guiding the filer through this process. What would've taken me 30 minutes going old-school, paper copy wound up costing me 2 hours of my life. Next year, no TurboTax for me

Goes through all sections of your review with examples that are easy to preview. Also all deductions are explained with all legal terminology and examples of whether it's a common deduction or not. The material is written in terms that can be easily understood an not overwhelming to the majority of citizens filing tax returns.

Questions answered. Or not!

It took multiple tries to get a full answer to my question. Had to rephrase my question five times before I could finalize my State return.
What's great about it: Easy to follow as Turbotax guides you through evert topic.
What's not so great: Questions not always answered easily
