Easy enough for the Average Jo

I am so thankful for TurboTax. It makes Tax prep quick and inexpensive. As long as you have all your forms your filing should be hassle-free. We have used TurboTax for years with no problems. Thank you for easy to follow instructions.
What's great about it: Step by step instrucyions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Saves money rather than paying a tax preparer

I would recommend this form for anyone with computer skills; especially older individual.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything, have been using Turbo for years
What's not so great: A few of the questions must be reread for lack of understanding

Biggest return I have gotten. I should of done this four years ago instead of gone to a CPA who is 65 years old and doesn't care about clients. THIS IS WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Taxes Made Easy

Always easy to use .. almost too easy. If you want to get down into the nitty gritty, you have to dig a little. I did have a 2nd W2 entered (company changed its name) in the records that didn't surface until the final review for errors. I was grateful that the software 'scrubs' the return clean before letting you send it out!! Great job!!
What's great about it: Fluid entries, updated forms, easy calculations

2014 return

all good except software automatically made a 2015 estimate and it was hard to find to change this where I expect my 2015 income to be lower

Turbo Tax Usefulness

I have used Turbo Tax for at least seven years and have alsways found it to be very helpful andinformatiove in completing and filing my taxes. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a tax filing program,
What's great about it: I like that the program walks you through each step and then let's you know if anything is missing.
What's not so great: None that I experienced at this time.

Ok but....

Since I have been filing my taxes myself, I have always used TurboTax. Generally I use the online feature with no issue; always very easy! This year, my boyfriend bought the software and since it had up to 5 free federal filings on it, he asked me if I wanted to use it. I figured it would be better than the online feature since you are paying for the software...I have to admit I am a bit disappointed. I feel that there was more help and guidance with the online feature versus the purchased software! There were various sections I would come to and wonder, "What's this??" In those instances online, you could hover over the section or click a link to get a better LAYMEN'S terms explanation of what a section was or what those requirements were. That was not available with this software. Anytime I clicked on something, if I COULD, it was all legal jargon. Like I said, disappointing. But, still for the most part easy to use. I just do not think I will be buying the software next year. I will stick to old reliable...the internet...ironic, eh?
What's great about it: The software was pretty detailed and made things easy to go through.
What's not so great: Not as much help as online feature.
