Needs a few bugs fixed
on April 9, 2015

Overall OK. Could not purchase anything online had to use the 800 number. Quite a pain and took longer. Also if the Schedule D and Form 8949 (stock sales) are not in the Deluxe version next year its not worth using this software.
What's great about it: Data entry is easy as always
What's not so great: Could not upgrade or buy additional state online. Schedule D & Form 8949 Need to be with Deluxe

Good with unearned income
on April 9, 2015

I have never worked with the dividend and interest section because all of my income is earned. I helped my nephew file and he had a ton. I was able to export a lot of intricate multi-page minutiae from Hilliard Lyons and it saved me hours of data entry. Kudos to both TT and Hilliard!
What's great about it: Helped my nephew who has a lot of dividend and interest
What's not so great: Very tedious, but workable

One time fill and send
on April 9, 2015

It is a good software for beginners and one time fill and sent to federal and states, so you can finish with one night and save $100 if you do it by a service store. I would say you can do it yourself with this software if you are careful and follow the steps.
What's great about it: step by step
What's not so great: hidden details for inexperienced users

Small issue with one of my returns
on April 9, 2015
Posted by: bmarf
I did my own return and one for each of my two children. The file with my own return kept coming up with an error message asking if I want to continue while running script or not. If I clicked yes, the window would pop up each time I clicked "next" in my return. So I clicked no, and I could continue with my tax return. This did not happen in the other two tax returns I did, and it has never happened in previous years. I hope the tax return will go through at the IRS.
What's great about it: It is so easy to use
What's not so great: None that I can think of

on April 9, 2015
Posted by: Frank4944
The entire process is great except the Capital Gains. Answering the questions did not do it for me. I had to go to the forms themselves and input.
What's great about it: All the forms are there likity split
What's not so great: Capital Gains reporting is hard

Another tax season completed
on April 9, 2015

I have history with Turbo tax and through out the years I have been happy with the smooth and accurate function of the software. This year was the most challenging with the software changes. It still did what it was intended to do.
What's great about it: Seem like good question and answer, as usual.
What's not so great: This year it was a little more difficult to manuver around and stay in the correct area I was working in.
