Excellent

Very challenging year this year, which required some customer service. My wife and I experienced identity theft this year as someone else tried to file a return with our personal identity information. Once I had someone on the phone (it took about 25 minutes), the customer service was excellent. She helped me with switching everything over from e-file to mailing in my taxes; and she sent me the affidavits for identity theft. I am also in the military and a non-resident of Virginia. The online version would not run me properly through the 763 non-resident form with our status. She helped me to down load the turbotax download and we switched everything over and made the necessary changes. Thanks for all of the additional service.
What's great about it: Great customer service
What's not so great: Couldn't complete VA State non-resident online due to circumstances.

Help was little / no help trying to avoid an extra fee to file my state tax (refund of $24.00). The e-file fee for state taxes was MORE than refund. The directions stated to go to state taxes & then status. No way to get there from "state taxes" tab. There should be a box to x out for filing electronically for Fed tax AND one not to e-file for state tax on the same page. I know you are a for profit org. but this was ridiculous. Tax time is no place to add to the stress of citizens. I will not recommend Turbo tax to others, no wonder my friends don't use your service anymore.
The "support" was not available at all. The items I tried just kept going in unanswered circles. Maybe if you had a call center I could have gotten a quick answer. I am retired/low income wish you had a product for me.
What's great about it: point & click ...provided you don't have any questions
What's not so great: It took longer to figure out how not to e-file the state forms for a fee than to complete the tax forms required.

Series of issues

Completed my entries and was ready to file in early March. Downloaded the update on 4-9-15 and 90% of my return information was wiped clean. Most of the pop up boxes, including the final print or save to PDF, were blank so I had to run my cursor over them until the cursor changed to a hand and then try an answer. It worked fine last year and I am still running Win XP.
What's great about it: Better than writing it all out
What's not so great: Had to do it twice and in the blind in some cases

Long time problem finally resolved!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for FINALLY fixing the ongoing problem (since 2007 for me) of my husband's State tax-free disability retirement showing up under additional income. I always had to override this error (didn't realize it for a couple of years and had to do amendments) and that would cause me to be unable to efile my state return. I am so happy that you have finally fixed this error. I know others are too as the community board was usually full of 'help me' questions for this problem.
What's great about it: I was able to efile my State because I didn't have to override error.
What's not so great: I had to pay for efile instead of a stamp.

At times it was confusing but this is the first time I have used your product.
What's great about it: ability to go back and change errors.

Turbo Tax Deluxe is all I need

I have been using Turbo Tax for decades. During that time I have taken my taxes to a professional twice for review. Both times they said I had done a great job and I should continue in the same manner
