What's great about it: Like the ease and ability to do several different returns.
What's not so great: That after being a user for over 15 years I don't get a price break.

This is the fourth year of using Turbo Tax. It is very user friendly for individuals that are not CPA. We would not use anything else! Will see you again for 2015 tax year!

Excellent Tax Preparation Software

I use TurboTax every year to do my taxes. I find it well laid out and extremely easy to use. My only complaint is that it is not able to figure out the Washington State Sales tax associated to my address. Otherwise, I feel extremely comfortable about filling out my return with TurboTax, and I highly recommend it to my friends and family.
What's great about it: Easy to use, well laid out, great help items
What's not so great: Does not handle Washington State Sales tax well

This year it was not as easy at it should have been and I did not have any stock sells but it keep trying to make me do something with stock but wanting to force an upgrade over an account that was a transfer not a cash out or any withdraws or payments. Bit of a mess guys.
What's great about it: imported my old return
What's not so great: overly complicated and useless for some stuff

my mood is better after I do my taxes by hand

Ninja fees: AFTER you go through all the work of filling out the state tax forms in turbotax, THEN it reveals "oh and by the way, you'll also have to pay turbotax extra money if you want us to file this."
Ninja tasks: AFTER I paid the state tax fee, and arranged to pay my state taxes online, turbotax says, "oh and by the way, you'll still have to print out and mail this piece of paper in anyway" (I might have done things differently if I'd been aware I'd have to find my stamps & envelopes anyway).
This software won't protect you from having to read your tax paperwork. I think there were at least a dozen questions that I didn't know how to answer, and after some extra research, some of those were not even supposed to be answered (not that turbotax made this obvious).
The one thing that cheered me up was the "low audit risk" bar. I don't trust that I did everything 100% right even with the help of turbotax but hopefully it's close enough that it won't get me in trouble.
What's great about it: low audit risk?
What's not so great: surprises and confusing questions

not as bad as I thought!

Almost forgot to do them until a friend mentioned it was almost Tax Day. I about freaked out!!! I came home that evening and started immediately. It wasn't bad. I think I was stressing just with the thought of having to go thru the whole tax thing, but I came thru unscathed!!! Thank you, Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: led me by the hand thru all the parts and pieces
What's not so great: taxes, taxes, taxes - but it turned out Ok!

My Refund Rules!

I had two separate returns to file this year; one for me and my husband, who purchased a home last year and one for my son who had two different jobs last year. I was a little nervous but TurboTax made it so easy! Definitely much easier than some of the other programs I've used in the past.
What's great about it: Fast, Easy & Fool Proof!
What's not so great: Had to pay Uncle Sam, but this made it easy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Quick and easy

I've been using Deluxe TurboTax for years and bought it again this year before the controversy about Intuit removing some functionality. I almost returned it but fortunately Intuit saw the problem and resolved it. I'm glad because I trust TurboTax to make filing my federal taxes easy and error-free.
What's great about it: All of my data transferred easily from last years return saving me lots of typing and typos!
What's not so great: nothing
