Easy Day

As usual, Turbo Tax has made the dreaded tax season less stressful.

Turbotax Deluxe 2013 for Mac redeemed itself

I did something you probably should never do. I saved all my Turbotax files (multiple years) to a flash drive. And those were my only digital copies! Then, my flash drive crashed. But I pleased to learn I could import my previous return DIRECTLY into Turbotax 2013 Deluxe! This saved me time. Turbotax did a bang up job - as usual - finding my deductions and boosting my refund. Once I downloaded my state return, though, it crashed the Turbotax program! Apparently, several others have experienced this problem as detailed in the Intuit forum. I quickly found a solution. But the actual patch took quite some time to download and install. Everything else was seamless and quick. Turbotax redeemed itself. Looking forward to filing for 2014!
What's great about it: Online access to my previous return!
What's not so great: State download crashed my Turbotax program

Software has issues with high resolution displays

When using TurboTax on a computer (Windows) with a high resolution display (like a "Retina" display) the software is difficult to work with in several of the windows. The text is extremely small.

Still the Same

Aside from Turbo Tax not including all the forms in the Deluxe Edition, a situation they corrected, it still delivers as in years past. I know what to expect from using this since 1996.
What's great about it: brings in info from previous years; asks all the pertinent questions
What's not so great: Can be drawn out while it is looking for all possibilities.

Reliable as Usual

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years and the software makes filing my taxes easy. You still need to carefully review each step and make sure you are correctly entering your information.
What's great about it: Makes the process easy
What's not so great: But, it's not foolproof

This was my first time doing my own taxes -- Turbo tax made it incredibly easy and I lucked out that it timed up with a few extra deductions. Thanks Turbo Tax!

turbo tax delux

I have used turbo tax for years with no problems but this year may be my last I spent hours working on it and stopped for a few days waiting for some info and when I got my info tried to log back in and it was gone. started over and it kept telling me that i needed an update but the update was not available. finally got things done and found out I had filled out everything on the online version even though I started it from the disk that I had bought....did the people that put out this years product also work on Obamacare....then I saved it to the cloud and it took forever to find out how to get it open..I was so angry for the wasted day. I used to be able to get it all done in about an hour..
What's not so great: it wouldn't let me go to the forms to change small errores , had to go back and restart five times,
