Check 1099-Misc

I had a 1099-Misc for casino winnings. Step by Step had me add it as business income. After checking forms I was able to check winnings. I was then able to deduct against my losses.
What's great about it: easy and fast to use
What's not so great: 1099 enter misleading

I've used Turbo Tax in years past but discontinued due to complicated estate issues. Returning this year was a pleasure as the general format, as always, was easy to follow. I had some unusual income this year and the program was very straight forward in properly adding this information. I specifically liked the simple ability to get personal pin numbers. For my needs and experience this product has all the answers necessary to confidently file both returns.
What's great about it: Ease of use, well defined topics with solid explanations.
What's not so great: Releasing the product too early causes problems/confusion.

Always easy with Turbotax

Always love using Turbotax even if it is for something as unfun as taxes. My only issue this year was paying for my state filing. Tried to pay using my current account on file, but it kept kicking me out. Tried to change my setting twice, but still no luck. Finally had to create another account using a separate email, which makes me wonder how I will get my usual updates.
What's great about it: Taxes made simple
What's not so great: It was a challenge to pay
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I appreciated the suggestions and the opportunity to see the effect of every entry to the tax returns as a whole. Also review of the data when one section is finished.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and it is simple to use. When you have a question you ask and then you receive the answer.

the look up table says "health" insurance includes drug insurance but the next page has a place for drug insurance. I wasn't sure where to put it.

Excellent Software

I really like Turbo Tax. Been using it for years (at least the past 5). It is simple to use, at times too simple. I feel like I miss something but when I go back and recheck; everything is in order.
This is a great tool for someone who is tax illiterate like I am.
What's great about it: I Like how it transferred last years data and how I don't have to understand the law
What's not so great: When TT finds errors or missing info, it takes you to the form and you have to figure out the correct info.
