Competent but clumsy again this year

As usual, TurboTax works well, but often finishing a form entry dumps the user into an unexpected place in the process. Sometimes this leads to going thru a section multiple times, unnecessarily. Also, maybe its in there, but I'd like multiple screen support -- a 2nd screen or window that would show exactly what each data entry item is doing on my tax form or worksheet. This would allow for better what-if scenarios during the process. It would help the user understand how each entry affects the return on a real time basis. I'm fairly well versed in tax preparation, and the process isn't "intuit"-ive enough for me. I can only imagine how totally foreign the software & process must feel to a 1st timer or a novice, or to the ill-prepared. I think TurboTax misses the mark in that regard.... the goal should be to make it easy AND intuitive AND understandable... and it IS easy, but that's about it.
What's great about it: Accurate, mostly understandable
What's not so great: Unexpected jumping around

Kept me safe from the IRS!

Overall, TurboTax is easy to use and self explanatory. Subjects are broken out in what to me are easy to use sections and subsections. If you have all of your W-2 forms and any other needed information this is fast and easy. TurboTax brings forward all information from the prior year and that is a huge help!
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate! When I needed more information on a subject like Healthcare it assisted me for understanding!
What's not so great: None

Taxes are done!

What's great about it: easier to understand questions this year. easier to revisit by sections and navigate through the forms.
What's not so great: all the confusion at the beginning of the tax season on which turbo tax product was needed.

did the job but had to work for it

this is the second year in a row that I have had to spend a couple hours on the phone with customer service do to defective discs . I was given the downloaded version which worked great ,everyone I talked with was very helpful and I will use it again ( the downloaded version that is )
What's great about it: the step by step makes it easy
What's not so great: using the disc version it would freeze

First time running into difficulties

I have used Turbotax for many years now and it is super easy to use. You are being held by the hand all the way.
However this is the first time I had difficulties installing Turbotax. It took 35 minutes and numerous attempts before it finally took. I was really close to ending the process and then run out to by a new Turbotax CD. It finally was installed. Then I had difficulties transferring all the Federal returns to the State Returns.
I found an answer to this through TurboTax "Help" button and it finally worked after 3 attempts.
Despite these "hiccups" I will use TurboTax again next year. I will just make sure that I am not last minute (which I wasn't this time. Still had a week left before April 15, 2015). I can only imagine how nervous I would have become, if I was filling the final night before the tax return was due.
