Very Comprehensive

The popup explanations were fine, but there should be a more in-depth explanation button available as well.
What's great about it: Found an Education Credit I didn't know about
What's not so great: Not a lot of detailed discription or explanation

TurboTax has helped me with my taxes for more than 20 years. I never fail to feel relieved at how easy they make tax preparation and filing. I have looked at other programs but I always return to TurboTax
What's great about it: Has all the answers
What's not so great: none

|I have prepared taxes for years, I began usiing turbo tax about 7 years ago and would not change now. No more flipping through pages, turbo tax walks you through each section in an orderly fashion. I save several years for each client and can go over changes with them each year,
What's great about it: Detail oriented, but easy to follow
What's not so great: can be tricky navigating backward

So Easy!

Purchased H&R Block Software to save $20 and the State would not download with Vista Windows! Ended up going back to Turbo Tax - Lesson learned. cheaper is not always better.
What's great about it: Download of Program Fed & State EASY

Did not see where I could put in itemized deductions where I could record and see where I stand if I would attempt to itemize. ie: gambling losses to offset gambling winnings

some frustration this year!

I am still not certain that I won't have to file an amended return due to the State tax issue. when given the option to select state sales tax or state income tax and then ignores the request, it is very frustrating...not to mention a big time waster! Others seemed to have the same issue in the help center. They directed me to do what I did do, however the program would not honor my request! I was starting to feel a bit "2001" here HAL. I will now spend extra hours going over the returns to see if I need to make changes. Didn't have this issue in previous years when my tax status was more complicated.
What's great about it: incorporating previous year info
What's not so great: would not correct to my state income tax paid. Had to manually correct on state return

The ease of completing the process was well worth the price of the program.
What's great about it: In general, the process made completing my taxes very easy.
What's not so great: There needs to be a place for residents of states that pay personal property taxes.
