Not as good as in the past

Ok, Easy to use, but initially didn't include all forms (I bought after this issue was corrected). TT didn't provide an easy means to address estimating next years taxes which needed to be adjusted as my spouse had retired in 2014 and this altered everything. TT initially estimated 2015 taxes without any consideration of a significant change in 2015 income and I had to use forms to correct. Also it had an error #or at least appeared to) regarding an entry on MI Schedule W, Table 2, which kept asking for a payer's Fed ID number when one did not appear to be required. I noticed quite a number of similar online comments regarding this problem before I ran into and am surprised that TT did not offer any online or software resolution.
What's great about it: Relatively Easy to Use
What's not so great: Didn't include some forms (initially) and didn't allow an easy means to address estimated taxes for next year.

No choice but to mail it in!

Seemed to be a glitch in the software. When getting ready to efile - clicked "married filed jointly" then put in the AGI for both of us . After being rejected I double checked the selection of filing status after filling in the AGIS and it would say "married filed separately", which we hadn't. A change in that back would send me into a loop.
Called the IRS (who would not give out a PIN online as your site suggested) and on the phone said to use the AGI or 0. So tried numerous combinations - all rejected. Have no choice but to mail this in.
I did check the questions section which did mention an error having to do with this so I imagine you are aware.
Too bad this occurred because the software has been flawless for the past 4 years.

Positive experience although a bit confusing in trying to complete and print out for mail filing. But

The process was easy and thorough.
A few suggestions, before one starts, have the ability to print out simplified worksheet(s) for listing medical expenses, charitable deductions, business expenses,etc. Also, maybe a checklist of forms/documents to have ready before data gets entered. I'm not sure I would use all of them but a few. Maybe print them out when filing to keep track during the next year. Those things don't change that much and if you put "TURBO TAX" all over the top, a little free advertising every time one adds to the list during the year.
What's great about it: Step-by-step easy-to-read instructions
What's not so great: I had no problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I've used Turbotax for many years. It is consistent, dependably accurate, logical, and fairly easy to use. The actual filing takes only moments of your time.
