OPM Adjustment for Retirement/Pension based on con

Not clear as to adjustment for OPM pension adjustment re simplified calculation and RMD when there are multiple sources.
What's great about it: Saves time and eliminates need to review most fed documents
What's not so great: Few areas where might be clearer. Terms on 1099Rs in some cases are not identical to program terms

Easy - considering it's TAXES, anyway.

This is the second year I've used TurboTax, and considering it's filling out Federal TAXES (1040 is NOT an easy thing to understand), it's easy and straightforward. Still, don't wait until the last day - it's not THAT easy. I always choose the option for the program to step me through the whole process, as opposed to filling out what I think I need. If I knew THAT, I wouldn't need TurboTax, now would I? And, like most things, it takes longer than I think it will, but when I'm finished, I feel good that it's done right and I've paid what I should (no rude surprises from the IRS), but NO MORE than that. I don't really like doing taxes, but TurboTax makes it as pleasant as could be expected.
What's great about it: I like the way TurboTax steps me through the process. It asks about deductions I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
What's not so great: Now and then there's a question I don't know the answer for, but at least I know it's needed. So I find the answer.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Bad publicity early on created a certain amount of tension about filing using the e-file system. Just e-filed both returns and I am hoping there are no problems.
What's great about it: Preparing the return was as convenient as previous years.
What's not so great: Sending and printing not as convenient as previous years.

Overall program was easy to use. RITA (OH form 37) continue to be problematic in terms of how the descriptions of the tax percentages are used to calculate (should state clearly that the city tax is the city OF RESIDENCE (as opposed to the city where income was generated) - would make it easier. Also could not efile state return - turbo tax did not accept my password even after I had changed it twice got an error message. In our case we did not have a refund or payment but would have been annoying if we were trying to pay or receive electronically.
What's great about it: Option to go either through the entire document or skip around - helpful with 2 people entering information
What's not so great: Had trouble paying for the state efile - never did get password to work

Hidden costs

Overall this is a great program....the only thing that really bothered me was that I didn't know until right as I was about to file my state taxes that I would have to pay to do so....I would've appreciated some warning, I was not very happy
What's great about it: very user friendly
What's not so great: didn't know I'd have to pay to file state taxes

Turbo Tax Review

I had an overall good experience in preparing Federal and State returns.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Good supplementary information provided when needed
What's not so great: Need capability of having more e-mail addresses for receiving Return Acceptance
