I have used Turbo Tax for the last five years without any problems. The 2014 Deluxe Edition gave me many problems. Two of the problems most troublesome was the method used to determine the sales tax deduction in addition to listing sales tax paid on a new car. The second one was the medical deduction that didn't automatically transfer to the state tax return like it had in prior years and the problems using the back button to get to the long term care questions on the state tax return. (OHIO) I hope that your program writers go back to how the prior year programs were written to eliminate difficulties.
What's great about it: transfer of personal information from prior year tax return.
What's not so great: sales tax deduction, medical deduction

Good product, too many small updates.. good in a way; annoying at the same time. Year 2 to use Turbo Tax and will def buy it next year as well.
Thank you Turbo Tax Folks for making it very easy to file taxes.

Complicated tax return done & filed in 90 minutes!

I have used Turbotax for 14 years. I started after I bought my first house, which meant I now was itemizing deductions. Finances are not my strong suit, but Turbotax easily guides me through the tax return. In particular, I like "Its Deductible", a Turbotax tool that I use throughout the year to keep track of chartible deductions. When it comes time to do my taxes, all that data is imported into my return with one click of the button. So handy!

Long time user, first time reviewer. TurboTax is great and has long had a mission to get better every year. Simply keeping up with the nonsense Washington forces on us each year is enough but TT transcends that. Likes: the frequent and helpful pop-up info boxes that help explain terms or procedures or help you get organized. Also: comprehensive walk-throughs of every step, if that's the way you want to go. And plenty of opportunity to go back and correct previous information, then resume where you left off, and TT recalculates as appropriate. I'm a return customer for a reason. Dislikes: would like to occasionally print the single current page I am working on but you can only print out *everything*…or at least that's the only choice offered in the Print window. Also disappointed that TT's product prices go up significantly every year. :-(
What's great about it: Comprehensive but reasonably fast; handy pop-up info boxes
What's not so great: can't print single current page, only full pkg, even if you're not finished

What's great about it: The questions are great to make you think of all the little nuances of the tax law.
What's not so great: This year's version was more difficult than before. It would not import the information from prior year returns.
