Super easy to use!

I would definitely recommend TurboTax. It is very easy to use and not at all complicated. My husband did our taxes for years, and when I had to take over those responsibilities, TurboTax took the fear out of filing. Thank you!
What's great about it: Questions get right to the point.
What's not so great: Nothing to add here, just amazingly easy!

2014 Deluxe didn't have all the features that 2013 and years precious had. As a result was given a promise of free upgrade to Premier that had the features that Deluxe used to have,. specifically the Stock investment forms.
The upgrade didn't go well at all,. took me three days and an hour of 'on hold' waiting for help and finally called another help number before getting the upgrade complete..
AAEven after the upgrade could not get the federal tax to e-file.. tried for 3 days to get that done. finally had to use a different computer and force turbo tax on that computer to take the return I had created on the original to use to e-file..

What's great about it: Does a ggood job on actual tax work

Still Turbo

I was very worried that I would have to switch tax software this season due to the issue with the deluxe version not having the same forms as usual. I was pleased that to find out that issues was taken care of for us loyal turbo tax users.

Program is fast and simple. Not sure why the I had to pay caring for an elderly parent at home but that's not TurboTax's problem

Decades user no more

I knew that something was wrong with T-Taxes education expenses calculation(s). I used the step-by-step method; then reverted to the backup worksheets but the calculations still did not seem correct. I finally stopped using T-tax and took my return and both children's returns to a tax professional. The professional/s calculations were in line with what I expected, and greatly different that T-Taxes for Pennsylvania.
I have used T-Tax for decades. I do not plan to purchase T-Tax again because of the issues of the last two years.
What's great about it: The step-by-step walk through was helpful.
What's not so great: Education expenses calculations were cumbersome and, in the end, not accurate.

Turbo Tax 2014

Having used this for the 18 years, overall i like TT and in all that time only once did TT make a error (my error in not checking it but it cost me $4,000 on my state return). This year, the Deluxe version no longer includes investments so that means an upcharge for Premier. Also saving the file is lot more cumbersome than prior years. Cloud option was a good idea.
What's great about it: Covers quite a lot of things, some of which i might not have thought of. Prints out a neat and readable return.
What's not so great: User since 1997; saving it was different and not as user friendly. Investment reporting not incl. in Deluxe.

Turbo Tax

Love this program. I have a fairly simple return so Turbo Tax expedites what would be a fairly simple process. However, from walking through the steps Turbo Tax offers during the preparation of the return, it is obvious that a much more complex return would be made simple by Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy
What's not so great: Almost none.
