I count on Turbo

I like TurboTax and I recommend it to others. I'm a bit concerned that they don't always tag excess Social Security taxes paid.
What's great about it: I like that it guides me along and pulls out facts from my past tax forms. It's interesting to see how this year compare
What's not so great: I wish there were more hours available for live chat and calling.

Effortless Return

Have used turbo tax over the past decade and like the way it addresses all deductions and income to ensure your filing is correct. Like the fact that it brings up last year's returns and allows you to compare as well as delete or add. I am loyal fan of this application and will continue to use it.

I have been using Turbo Tax for almost 20 years and it has continued to be a solid method for filing my taxes each year.
What's great about it: Always easy to use and quick
What's not so great: Had issues with e-file (but they were cleared up quickly)

This is the sorriest version of turbotax that I've every had.
I've been a customer for 10 -15 years, but this version beats the cake. It started about 3 years ago and got worse and worse each following year. I used to have so much freedom to do what I wanted to do. Now , it is so restricted you almost have to take a course in how to run it.Things I used to do, now requires me to update to the next more expensive higher version.Schedule C even requires a more expensive and 2nd higher version.
My taxes are very simple-simple. Having to jump through so many hoops now befuddles me. Chuck

I called in to customer service and they directed me to an amazing helper. He walked me through and got me past the problem I ran into earlier. He stayed on the phone the entire time and was a huge help.
What's great about it: The help the admin was able to give me
What's not so great: The online version did not allow me to edit the problem easily

I love the simplicity of Turbo Tax. Been using it for years!

Fees

TurboTax is full of hidden fees that are not communicated earlier. I was never told that there is a refund processing fee which is individual for each state.
Also, even though I couldn't file a state tax return electronically, turbo tax charged me for it anyways. The whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Never using turbo tax again.
What's great about it: Good interface
What's not so great: Full of hidden fees
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
