Great, but

If your mutual fund was not tapped, they didn't send a 1099-R, TT says don't enter anything in box 1.
BUT this drives the program crazy--at filing time when it does not allow "equal or greater" in box 12.
Duh. Tardis warp-age situation. 0=0. I set box 1 at $1.00 to escape the loop.

What's great about it: Easy, accurate and thorough. Only one program glitch.
What's not so great: 1099 R box 12 glitch
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2014 tax return done

I will use turbo tax next year
What's great about it: this cd from turbo tax saved me money and time plus helped me understand more throughly what is going with my tax retur
What's not so great: had an extra form 2210,after going back a couple of times it disappeared

2014 Fed and State (MI) income Tax

Turbo tax gets better every year.
I found the summary page with the icons and colors made it very easy to go back and find the place to make a correction.
The step by step process took the fear out of missing something important that I didn't even know about.
E filing instructions at end made the final process simple. It was easy to use and told me what I needed to do exactly when I had to do it. No guess work.
I will get Turbo Tax again next year.
Is there a process to buy it with an annual notice to me?

What's great about it: Easy load, easy to read, Step by step is great, Graphis nice and simple and easy to see. Icons great help

bad in product line

Although I have used turbo tax for many years this software year was awful. I have never had so many problems when connecting to the internet for updates/downloads, payments and e-filing. I spent more time with customer service on the phone than i did using the actual software.
What's not so great: connecting for anything

easy to follow along with what was wanted explanations were there if I needed them, to me it is the easiest way to file our taxes. Within the next few years we will make a lifestyle change and I will continue to Turbo Tax to file our return as I noticed the changes we will make were in questions covered now

Not clear on what professional societies I can deduct if any; still feel like there are deductions I am missing, e.g., church, professional banquet/dinner registrations/fees because I didn't see anything that spoke to them. Would be helpful to understand allowable deductions for supplementing a family member's expenses if they are not living with me (e.g., their rent), even if their salary is above $3900 annually...didn't account for anything here because did not seem to be allowable. Otherwise, Turbo Tax is a good product. I use it every year.
What's great about it: Quite easy to follow
What's not so great: Could explain deductions clearer, including family member deductions

I think it would be easier to use if there was a little more info provided on the screen.. (rather than having to go to search).
What's great about it: Choice of walk through or do it yourself
What's not so great: Sometimes not very intuitive in how to navigate

Great help on a confusing task

Especially liked the help on completing requirements for the Domestic Partner filing on state tax. Certainly very confusing if left on my own.

What's great about it: Excellent program for walking you through the many steps involved.Liked the accuracy check for peace of mind.
What's not so great: Regarding state domestic partner returns: need to go back to original tax payers federal return before clicking on state
