2014 Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax has been my tax program for several years and has always been right on track for my tax filings. In the beginning, I had my taxes checked with a CPA in my family and he saw no errors.

Like I say in the Con section. They charge WAY too much for an e filing of taxes especially when the state of MN wouldn't accept their returns for the first few weeks.
I will seriously consider another next year. TaxSlayer perhaps?

Almost makes doing taxes fun! I also like the fact that I receive reminders through the year. Having forms easily accessible is another plus - just print everything out or save to PDF when done.

Turbo Tax Online VERS Turbo Tax CD

Have used Turbo Tax online for many years ! 2014 seemed to have different calculations for maximum refund. Was referenced by Turbo Tax online consultant to purchase CD instead of using online version !
What's great about it: CD was more helpful and up to date
What's not so great: Online was incomplete in information and calculation

It gets the job done

It's tax software, and it gets the job done, it's accurate and easy to use. My only complaint is that you upgrade to deluxe to get a free state, only to have them charge you additional to e-file the state. The charge was going to exceed the amount of my state refund. I'll print out and mail in. It does make the state return easy to do, it would just be nice if they would not charge a ridiculous fee to e-file.

Turbo Tax makes taxes really easy.

I have the last 5 years worth of taxes completed using Turbo Tax stored on my computer. However, last year i used a different computer so I only copied the .pdf file to the computer I used to file all of the other years taxes. When attempting to collect personal data to complete 2014 taxes the software would only look for a 2013 tax file. The actual tax files from the tax years 2009 to 2012 were all stored on the computer. I think the software should be able to collect personal data from any tax year file completed using Turbo Tax. This is a trivial complaint, since I was able to enter all of the data manually. But, this is a very valuable tool that Turbo Tax uses. I will continue to use Turbo Tax. I just hope Intuit takes this suggestion and makes the changes.
What's great about it: The question and answer format makes it really simple to complete and file my taxes.

Easy Turbo Application

Before using Turbo Tax, I though it would be a challenge to read the numbers to prepare my taxes. Per using this simple application, it help me to understand the difference between the different forms. ' The questions were very straight forward and easy to answer I feel like I not only completed my taxes, but now have become very knowlegeable with the entire process.
What's great about it: Simple questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
