Makes Tax Season So Much Easier

I used to use TurboTax for federal taxes every year and then I started doing consulting and working out of multiple states. I did the state returns myself one year and then switched to using TurboTax - I will never go back to doing them manually again...
What's great about it: Fed + State returns are a breeze with this product
What's not so great: State returns are a bit pricey but worth it in the end

I've always gone to a tax preparer--a CPA or other tax preparer--but I decided to go solo this year. With Turbo Tax, you essentially have a CPA at your fingertips. I should have switched to Turbo Tax a long time ago. In case you're wondering--no, this is not a paid endorsement!
What's great about it: Idiot proof!
What's not so great: There are no cons--it's awesome.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good app.

Other than my annual struggle with the healthcare coverage and 1099-R sections, the app works well for my simple return needs.
What's great about it: Leads through each step. Ease of use.
What's not so great: Being on both Medicare and supplemental private coverage, always have trouble with the healthcare section.

Fast and Easy

Software is very easy to use and has very good information for all the technical government bureaucracy. All you have to do is click yes or no and the program dose the rest. Took less than an hour to do much better then paying a few hundred dollars for somebody else to probably just use the same software. My only complaint is they don't have a bundle version you can buy to when you purchase the software that include a state e-file.
What's great about it: Easy to do software explains everything you need to know
What's not so great: Had to pay extra to e-file state return

I love using Turbo Tax!! It's easy, efficient and quick. I always wait to the last minute and never have any issues and always get back so I don't know why I don't do it first thing! :)
