I will never use Turbo Tax again. My returns were rejected and the "fix the problem" was so confusing and the directions from Turbo tax were NOT helpful at all!!! The online support does not even exist. Others posted the same problem I was having with no answers in response.
What's great about it: NONE
What's not so great: It was NOT easy at all. The directions were confusing and navigating the site was even worse.

Did not like print center

Your product will not be used by me again if I am not able to print the forms and documents that I need. I keep being sent to some center and not to my printer.
What's great about it: everythning good until i wanted to print the forms

used it over the past years but this is the last time. NO more product games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's not so great: feel like it tries to trick you to spend extra money to upgrade and/or file state returns

Why would you use anything else

I have been using Turbo Tax to do my taxes for over 10 years.
I do taxes for myself and two of my kids and my mother.
I love the ease and it helps me to find deductions that I did't even thing about. Since using Turbo Tax i have gotten a refund every year due to the deductions it helps me find. I do taxes for a college student that lives in another state and works at the college as well. I also do it for my son that works and is in the Army reserves and I do it for my mom that is drawing from her IRA. Multiple scenarios.

Refund Relief

Overall, Turbo Tax saved me from a truly hair tearing experiences that Tax Season usually is. The laymen's terms and step-by-step walk through was truly useful and calming for me during my walk through the torture that is Tax Season. I will DEFINITELY be using this software in the future.
What's great about it: Very easy to comprehend
What's not so great: Still felt overwhelmed
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo Tax before. This year it skipped the taxable refunds. So when I was finished, the checking process did not pick up that taxable income was blank when should have figure in it from refund amount. If I didn't know that I needed to enter that figure, my taxes would have been wrong, missing the taxable refund.
The process should not allow you to skip those parts, especially when you check guide me.

What's great about it: neat, saved to computer, mostly easy
What's not so great: Some things are confusing and can be skipped if the consumer doesn't know

This year Turbotax Program Worked Poorly

The efile worked for my son's short tax return but efile would not work on mine. When I selected the button to efile, the program would look for program update and and would return to the place it was before the efile was selected. I finally had to print return to file via the paper and mail method.
What's great about it: Even when Turbotax program locked up and had to close it via the task manager, at least the data was not lost.
What's not so great: Every time I selected "check", the program froze and I had close program.
