the walk thru is easy and useful for folks like me who want to do their own taxes but want to do them correctly. I feel confident when I file after using turbotax. I have been using turbotax for many years and have never been audited and never had a return pulled for mistakes.

I'm always a little nervous when I sit down to do my taxes. Once again, Turbo Tax walked me though everything I need to do and I feel confident that my taxes were done correctly.

Used Turbo Tax for about ten years now. I like the way the questions are outlined and help is always available. Only thing I would like to see is more info for retired people on SS which is always leaving me with some questions.
What's great about it: guideance throughout tax return
What's not so great: Maybe a lot of questions most people will not use....but sure some will
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Another sucessful year

Had a problem with a disk drive which corrupted my files. Was able to recover using tools found in help system.
Despite my problem preparation was fast and simple. E-filing and direct deposit/debit made life easy.
What's great about it: Simple, quick and easy

What's great about it: Easy!!
What's not so great: support for Mac 10.6.8 nedede!!! Very inconvenient to not have it - should I buy a new comp. just to do taxes??!!

Easily beats doing taxes "By Hand".

Well, it's still taxes. When comparing this years to last years tax returns, I'd like to see more detail in the past years return.
I'd like to be told about the state tax e-filing charge up front, rather than holding the information till the last moment.
What's great about it: The automation, of course. No math errors.
What's not so great: Sometimes confusing trying to sift out what catagories I don't need.

Worst Tax Program Ever

I've used TurboTax for many years but 2014 was so bad I will not buy it ever again. My Mac using Mavericks never crashes but with TurboTax 2014 there were constant crashes, program is so slow I could do my dishes in between choices, could not file my NY State e-file without choosing to e-file my federal, I hate the IRS and I don't want to be forced to e-file with them so now I have to mail my NY state return with a letter explaining that TurboTax could not let me e-file NY State. Had to constantly unplug my computer because the screen froze. I had to put Stuffit Expander in the trash because TurboTax used it to open my return with a exec file extension and a Mac cannot open that type of file because .exec files are for a PC operating system and not for a Mac operating system. You must have used the same programmers that Obamacare used for their failed website.
What's great about it: Nothing Good
What's not so great: All Bad
