Turbo Tax Time

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years and have recommended it to many others. I think this year was the most difficult and I feel that a lot of the problems came from all the changes from the IRS and State. I was asked for information that I have never been asked for before,. I still plan to use Turbo Tax next year.
What's great about it: The step by step walk through and the It's Deductible
What's not so great: Too many updates late in the tax season

Not what I expected

Saving my taxes was difficult for I did not want to save it to cloud. I did not understand the child credit or the effect adding what your company paid for your health care. Turbo tax is a program I have relied on for the last 20 years and it hasn't failed us yet

What's not so great: not being able to save to a jump drive instead of cloud

Turbo Tax Rocks!!!!

I have had several different tax situations over the years and Turbo Tax has ALWAYS been there to walk me through it all. It is so easy, just answer the questions and they do the rest. Thank You Turbo Tax for having my back!!!!!
What's great about it: Perfect!!!

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

All good, except....

I needed to add a new dependent care item as well as edit another item in the deductions section and found it very difficult to drill into the exact entries. I kept getting only to overall total for each dependent, and when I clicked on the amount or Edit, all I could see was a way to add expenses for a new dependent. Very frustrating!

2015 Taxes

When the eFile did not work for a week the error messages were so vague that I had no idea what to do. I kept trying it once a day until it finally worked a week later. I am skeptical to use it next year!? Denny Sundberg

Great program that is easy to use and does what it says it will do at a reasonable cost.
What's great about it: fast and easy to use, and no 500 dollar bill
