I just love how quick preparing my taxes is and walking through each section so I can learn how better deduct stuff next year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy peasy

I am a bookkeeper as part of my job. Some of the stuff I have to deal with for business taxes makes me want to pull my hair out. Doing my personal taxes with Turbo Tax takes away all the pain and stress. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL software. Thank you!
What's great about it: It walks you through the entire process - idiot proof
What's not so great: none that i have found

State Return Inconsistency

When I e-filed my MS state return, the program told that I could have the amount due taken from my checking account. I opted to do this. However, later on in the process, I was told to print a form, and the form instructed me to send it to the MS Dept. of Revenue along with my payment. These two actions cannot both be right. Which is it?

The Decline of TurboTax

I do not feel that this years turbo tax program was user friendly. On a couple of occasions it asks for data from Schedule A , Line XX. I checked my last years turbo tax returns, there is no Schedule A printed off with last years return. There was no Schedule A printed off with this years return either. If I have to go through the trouble to go to the IRS site to figure out these answers why not just use the IRS web site to file? Secondly, I have always used the "its deductible" portion of the turbo tax. Why was it not included in this years program? All in all, I just didn't feel that this years program was up to the standard of the past programs. I am undecided at this time if I will purchase Turbo Tax to do my 2015 tax return.
What's great about it: The price has stayed about the same through the years
What's not so great: all required information from last year not available through last years turbo tax return.

Worst Version Ever

I really did not like this version of TurboTax at all this year. Any time you clicked 'VIEW ALL' I expected the software to take you from one segment of questions to another, but no, takes me back to the main page and have to scroll down to get to the next set of questions. Clicking 'VIEW ALL' anywhere did not take me from Section to Section or Topic to Topic, so not sure what happened to their Software process flow. Thought the lack of helpful 'hints' made navigation more tedious and time consuming because now you had to click on HELP or COMMUNITY and type in some text to find it on your own. If this cumbersome next year, will definitely switch over to another software for sure.
What's great about it: Creates taxes electronically, compiles needed forms.
What's not so great: Doesn't move forward as expected, a lot of unnecessary scrolling, Clicking View All doesn't work

Finally done

Disappointment this year with all the updates. I finally got with the aid of phone support. Federal tax accepted and filing state by mail. The return was finished 31st of March. Thanks for your help-- Joseph

As always, TurboTax provided all the necessary steps in preparing my tax return. I had no problems completing, other than setting aside time to do. Great Tax Software Program! Continue the Great Job!
