I DON'T NEED TO GET BACK A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY, I JUST WANT TO PLAY IT SAFE WHEN I USE TURBO TAX AND PURCHASE THEIR AUDIT PROTECTION FOR MY PEACE OF MIND. ITS ALL GOOD , SO FAR IN 4 YEARS I HAD MY IDENTITY STOLEN ONCE --SOMEBODY REPORTED AN INCOME IN INDIANA, INDIANAPOLIS OF 18,000, SO WHEN THE IRS ASKED ME TO PAY THEM 7,250. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED TURBO TAX AND THEY REFERRED ME TO THEIR PROFESSIONALS TEAM OF TAX AUDIT LAWYERS AND THEY TOOK CARE OF THE WHOLE MATTER. I JUST HAD TO SIGNED SOME PAPERWORK AT NO COST, THEY TOOK CARE OF IT ALL. SO PLEASE DO AND MUST PURCHASE THEIR AUDIT PROTECTION PLAN. THIS IS A REAL STORY.

What's not so great: ITS ALL ABOUT CONVENIENCE, NONE

I have used TurboTax for over 12 years and will continue to use it. I never have any complaints and I am completely satisfied with your product.
What's great about it: Ease of use,
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love to use turbo tax. I don't know why other people take it to the tax service centers when they can use turbo to save more money.

All was well until it was time to digitally sign the Illinois form.
I wasn't sure what to enter for my spouse.
First I left it blank but then I just entered the same AGI adjusted gross income as mine. (We file joint last year and this year.) It worked so all is well. A little clarification in the software would be nice.

Two issues with 2014 Turbo Tax

This year, as I think in some years past, when I've completed all the data entry and come back to the file to check for errors and e-file, even though I select "continue my return", it acts like I want to start all over again. I basically have to go around to get to the file I've been working on.
Second issue was I couldn't get past the error check. It kept telling my I couldn't direct debit unless I was e-filing, which I was. Again, I could only progress working around the menu.
Work-arounds should not be necessary when you select a menu-driven process.
What's great about it: Walk thru was good, detailed, added to confidence I wasn't missing anything
What's not so great: Every year there is a hang up or two that doesn't make sense

Super easy, super accurate

I had another great experience with TurboTax. I loved the easy menus and being walked through the entire process. I just wish the cost was a little lower.

Wouldn't use anything else

I've used TurboTax for over 10 years, except for one...2006. What a mistake using H&R Block's software. Not only was it confusing to follow, I disliked how the printouts were handled. It is the only year I got questioned by either Federal or State. Turbo Tax works for me, so I ain't gonna fix the way I do my taxes.
