Crashed Multiple Times

I lost count of the number of times that I got a message that Turbo Tax had encountered a problem and needed to close. I have used Turbo Tax for more than twenty years and have never had this problem before. Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Good when it worked.
What's not so great: Program crashed multiple times.

The program is fine, this review page is annoying. I seriously have to enter a nickname not taken by anyone else? That seemed annoying when it kept telling me it was already taken. Do you want any info or not?
What's not so great: The online feature to upgrade my turbo tax didn't work. Even cutting and pasting the webpage in explorer and chrome

Praises for TT

I always had my mother do my taxes until 2 years ago when she forced me to attempt them on my own! It's so easy, I'm pretty sure a grade school student could figure it out! Know your alphabet? Know to count 0-10? Then TurboTax is for you! :-D
What's great about it: Easy as pie if you know your alphabet & numbers

Easy as 1, 2, 3!

I was very skeptical and nervous about doing my own return because I thought it would be complicated and I wouldn't understand everything. I was also worried I'd miss something. But this was so easy. The step by step instructions made sure you I didn't miss anything. If I didn't understand something, there was always a button to explain. I will definitely do this again next year!

What happened to one free state?

I was somewhat shocked to see a fee for filing one state. This used to be part of the product.

Good, but not great

Issue with state return had to be resolved over the phone with Intuit customer service rep. Steven worked hard to troubleshoot. He waived fee and and re-set confirmation # so I could file state return. Still a satisfied customer despite the extra hassle.
What's great about it: Both returns completed easily; Fed refund issued in about 10 days
What's not so great: Ran into problems filing state return. Would not process payment.

Easy to use, with few glitches

I have always been pleased with the ease with which TurboTax leads me through the process of determining my tax. I particularly like the fact the program does all of the math necessary.
I did have some difficulty transitioning from one section to the next. On at least two occasions it was necessary to "loop" several times in attempting to open the next section. The worst was when I attempted to e-file; when I reached the screen where I chose the method of payment for e-filing my state tax, it would refuse to transition to the screen where I entered my Credit Card information. I eventually had to call customer service to accomplish the payment. After which, the e-filing was completed quickly.
