I like the ability to do my own taxes at my speed without the frustration of trying to figure out the IRS forms and doing so at a cost much less than a professional tax preparer.

What's great about it: Simple as following the instructions provided.

easy and quick

I been using TurboTax for years. For this year, it was just as easy and quick to fill out. I always get the download or CD version. No cloud based or internet stuff for me. Can't trust anyone especially with all the hacks happening lately.
Anyways, it imports all the information from the previous year and also imports my W2 and bank investment information. This makes it very easy. Overall, it does everything you expected. One thing though, they have several advertisements for add-on services or instant refunds and you need to be careful not to click OK to everything otherwise it will charge you crazy fees for this service! And oh, state e-file price has gone up.
But I do learn a lot every year using this product. It helps me plan for the next year.
What's great about it: imports most forms directly from banks and employers
What's not so great: too many versions, and e-file fee went up, advertisements for add-on services

Not Lonely by April 15th

The way Turbo Tax scans for updates and applies them is impressive. I feel I have the latest IRS info and that is GREAT. This year the number of times I had to enter data that existed in last years return was frustrating and wasted time. I do like the review process and TRUST that Turbo Tax is a tough but fair reviewer.
What's great about it: Current Updates and logical guide

I like to add my best available information early in the process and then fine tune with exact figures as I receive them. The editing function allows me to easily make modifications.
What's great about it: Easy to follow along. Movement/shift between forms convenient.

Reliable and thorough tax software

I've been using TurboTax exclusively for more years than I can remember. It was especially helpful when I was running my own business -- it kept track of my equipment depreciation over its useable life and automatically made the adjustments from year to year.
Every since they added 'It's Deductible', it is even more helpful when donating clothes and household items to charitable organizations like the Salvation Army.
I recommended TurboTax to my friends who finally took my advice and bought it this year. They saved money on tax preparation fees and go their refund in early February!
What's great about it: Extremely thorough; has reliably guided me for 25 years
What's not so great: Can't think of any

Great Product!

I've used turbo tax for at least 10 years and it never disappoints. It is the easiest and most intuitive tax software on the market in my opinion. If you maintain your tax records there's no need to hire an accountant to do your taxes.
What's great about it: ease of use, guaranteed calculations, all the tools required to submit taxes
