In general it was very easy to use entering data and finding answers to questions that came up. The Federal return worked fine. This year I had to file a return in a different state as a non-resident. The software had errors for which I couldn't find a work around. Some amounts carried forward from the wrong fields, resulting in incorrect calculations. After several frustrating attempts, I gave up, printed a blank form, filled it out by hand, and filed it by mail. The Federal return was great. Unless I win the lottery, I'll use it again next year.
What's great about it: easy to use, easy to find answers to questions
What's not so great: state form had unfixable errors

Even with detailed and itemized deductions, Turbo Tax got it all sorted without me losing my mind! Helpful and clear for a topic and laws/regulations that are so complex! I'm grateful for TurboTax!
What's great about it: Detailed and easy step by step instructions at every stage!

TaxFreedom & Direct Deposit Changes

The fee for direct deposit of the refunds is a major negative and the change to the tax freedom for filing state returns is very disappointing especially since I did not receive any emails notifying me of these changes. I will be reconsidering the software I purchase next year.

First Timer Filing - Successful!

I hesitated and postponed preparing my return since the past several years we've had a professional prepare them. I am now single and a homeowner as well as donated a TON of household items while downsizing to the new place. This program made the journey comfortable and it was reassuring to know that no stone was left unturned, including me now working from home (deductible too).
What's great about it: It literally walks you through everything you need to have

Easy Peasy

TurboTax is Easy Peasy. A great tax product tool that is very consumer friendly. No more paperwork and hours of searching the internet to find out what form to use, do I qualify, have I missed something. Taxes are no fun! Thanks for making the process a lot less frustrating.

another questionable change

What happened to the ability to backup a tax form, on my computer, in PDF format???? Now only backup option is the cloud? I still miss the option to print all input rather than just the forms. Still, feel confident with Turbo Tax. Just don't like all the changes.
