2014 Return

some state return steps seemed vague and were confusing. better explanations would help.
The state return was MD and I tried doing it myself at the MD state site and I found it so incredibly complicated that in all fairness your explanations might be as good as can be achieved.

Happy with Turbotax

I have used turbotax for many years and like how it guides me through each step. This year I almost did the e-file but i didn't understand about signing the forms and how i could look at it before i e-file. Like seeing all x's in the banking information. before i did the e-file. i went pack and did the print/mail thing then it asked me for my banking information.
What's great about it: like always comparing to last years tax return so i could see things looked similar.
What's not so great: put banking info BEFORE ready to print. there was all x's in the banking info so i decided not to e-file.

Easy to use

Easy to use, great for easy returns. Felt like if I might have missed a few deductions. If you have a complicated tax return might not be for you. I love how it remembers me on my home computer and inputs my information. Takes the extra hassle out of it!
What's great about it: Very simply walk through
What's not so great: Felt like i might have missed some deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Turbo Tax is thorough and walked me thru everything

Used it for years

I've used Turbotax for decades, and it seems always to do the job very well ... and to have improved over the years. My taxes are not overly complicated, but I do appreciate the way the software compares this year's return with the previous year (provided you used it last year, too). I wish there were a bit more help available when the software checks for errors: it's not always easy to figure what is missing or where to find the missing piece. But all in all, I am quite pleased, and would recommend this product without reservation.
What's great about it: Easy to use; helpful guidance
What's not so great: cryptic demands for error correction
