Simple-But

I have been using Intuit's tax software for decades. For the most part it is simple to use and gives great results. This year, though I am disappointed in two features and decided it was time to voice my displeasure.
#1: not allowing one to encrypt the file on the mac without being logged into the internet is not a wise choice! Prior years simply allowed one to protect ones data straight from the program. This way I have total control over my data. It is my data after all! This years way of protecting the data is not acceptable, but I have no recourse given the interface!. Please consider reversing your trend in this manner. This is personal data and should not be dependent on the web for it use!
#2: The cost of filing state taxes, though seems to continue to escalate and no explanation is ever provided. It seems that it does not cost Intuit that much to file the electronic forms. Why continue to increase the cost?

What's great about it: Simple to import from last year and proceed thru this year

enjoyed the tax preparation process. it was not time consuming and it was easy to follow
What's great about it: like the experience of being guided through tax preparation
What's not so great: had to review sections multiple times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Sales Tax on Vehicles

Good product. I wish it was easier to enter itemized deductions without walking through the worksheets. For an experienced user, some of the worksheets are a nuisance.
What's great about it: Easy to use and go back and forth from forms to input.
What's not so great: Sales tax on vehicles and certain other deductions could be a lot easier.

Quick easy way to file taxes electronically and get my refund faster.
What's great about it: I feel confident I have completed my taxes correctly when I use Turbo Tax

Excellant Walk Through

I loved all the info and even got a refund I never would have found.
Now when I went to print the forms, it was not smoothly setup. All it would do would preview the form, not print on its own like the button said.
I had to open the File tab and select Print on my own.
What's great about it: Great Step by Step for all levels
What's not so great: Printing the forms at the end was not setup well.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

500 less due than H&R Block

Quick (except to enter your info - could be quick if you use Quicken), finds all the deductions and easy to review and make corrections.
What's great about it: saved me more than the other tax preparer
What's not so great: since I don't use a budget tracker - takes time to enter all the info

Good, as always

I like TurboTax. Have been using it for quite a few years and will continue.
One difficulty. We no longer have a sibling partnership, which TurboTax asked about. There was no option to say that the question did not apply any longer.
What's great about it: Like the organization and ability to incorporate previous year's info
What's not so great: some difficulty this year with "can't display this page". There was no problem with the internet connection
