Payment methods for State filing fee and audit defense do not work in Turbo Tax. We had to call in to make online payment. Very long waits for phone service.

Customer Service walked me thru the problem & I got my taxes filed today.
What's great about it: efiling is the main reason I use Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Problem eFiling with the TT Deluxe program.

So Easy

This is second year I've done my own taxes with some help from my dad. He's been using TurboTax for years. I've had several changes in finances this year, but some things remained the same. I love that I can have TurboTax use information from last year's filing so I don't have put in the same things over and over again. Because this year was more complicated than last year, the error checking was especially helpful. Not only will TurboTax point out if something is missing, it also gives suggestions on how to save more money.
What's great about it: step by step, checks for errors
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hacked!

I have been hacked through TurboTax and now I have to begin the difficult task of fixing this mess.New Hampshire
What's great about it: It was easy but….
What's not so great: I have been hacked and the one year I was planning on having a refund I will no have to wait unto 180 days.

The learn more fields seem to be written in IRS-speak rather than common language. I had to use Google to get additional information on a couple topics. Other than that, everything was fine. I've been using the software since 2008 and plan to continue.

Overall a great program . . . I felt that it guided me appropriately through maximizing my return . . . Thanks!
What's great about it: Easy to Use and Friendly for seniors
What's not so great: I was charged extra for a state refund which I was made to believe I was entitled to one free state fileing
