Great Program

I have purchased and used TurboTax every year since 1988.
I have always recommended other to purchase Turbo Tax in the past. But, with your decision to allow one state tax for free, I personally will not consider purchasing the program next year

Making a terrible process bearable

TurboTax takes a daunting and voluminous set of highly complex tax laws/regulations and makes them accessible for normal humans. This is an amazing feat. I often use this product as an example of how to focus on your customer and their experience as the evolutionary driver. As a user, we don't even have to know or understand that tax forms even exist...and that's just how we want it. :-)
What's great about it: Simple, easy to understand interface; logical flow; results oriented
What's not so great: Sometimes offers extremely uncommon scenarios in the standard flow

Downloaded, prepared, and filed in two hours. Refund is on the way. Taxes are done for another year!
What's great about it: Fast, thorough, imported info saved time, questions answered quickly.
What's not so great: State e-file costs extra

Made it easier

Turbo Tax continues to do a great job of leading me through the preparation of our tax returns! Only beef is that the donation tools are rather sparse and the process for adding items is a bit cumbersome.
What's great about it: Great guide through to preparing my taxes
What's not so great: Donation services lacking for many items

Took less than one hour

You can get to the places you need to much quicker this year. There isn't so much hand holding in the way.
Sometimes it makes you check a 'none of the above' box, other times it just lets you click NO in the lower right corner.
After you type edit to enter an income, you still have to click on 'I'll enter it myself" before you can edit it. They want to fetch it from the source automatically, but then you have to type in the name of the company even though it is already there.
What's great about it: easier to get to the screens where I need to enter data
What's not so great: the options aren't always consistant
